BOOK REPAIR TAPE

You may be wondering why I would use it!

Well the advantages of using book repair tape is that it helps maintain the structural integrity and extend the lifespan of your books. Below are some key benefits:

Tissue Repair Tape

Self-adhesive white tissue repair tape is for attaching torn or torn out pages, reinforcing and repairing the inner book joint and repairing edges. The adhesive is solvent- & acid-free, ageing-resistant, non-yellowing and slightly alkaline buffered with CaCO3 (Calcium carbonate) to prevent acid decay. It comes in 2 x thickness's 23 and 68 Micron. For torn pages and similar damage we would usually recommend using the 23 Micron as it is thinner and near invisible when applied to the page. For other repairs we would recommend using the 68 Micron.

Cotton Repair Tape

Is used to repair damage to spine hinges on the inside covers of books.

Simply cut a strip the length of book, remove paper release liner, fix to top section and gently place along the length of spine between the spine hinge and book cover. Fix into place. The result is a professionally repaired spine hinge which not only looks good but also helps to keep books in circulation for much longer by adding strength to the spine.

Organic Repair Tape

Versatile and Organic book repair tape.

• Soft and easy to apply and can be used on almost all surfaces.

• Very easy to use.

• The self-adhesive, glossy protection tape is made of environmentally friendly bio-based plastic (90% sugar cane) and water-based acrylic adhesive.
