Whiteboard Tips

Below are some tips from Elam for caring for our EAZYwipe and TOTALeraze Whiteboards.

A whiteboard is a great, effective and versatile tool that can be used in offices, schools and businesses. The whiteboard offers a white surface where you can write up ideas, explanations, drawings, lists, schedules etc. But what to do if your whiteboard is no longer clean and white?

MICROFIBER CLOTHS

The reason as to why the microfiber cloth is particularly good to use on a whiteboard is that it is nonabrasive and kind to the surface of the board. Wash your cloth regularly to keep it clean and free from ink. When the cloth starts to get hard over time it is recommended to replace it with a new one to avoid any abrasion to the whiteboard surface.

To prevent marker buildup on your whiteboard surfaces, occasionally clean with whiteboard cleaner.

PERPMANENT MARKER ON A WHITEBOARD

If you mistakenly use a permanent parker on a whiteboard don’t panic, there is an easy way to solve this problem. Simply draw over the permanent marker with a dry erase pen and this will remove both he the dry wipe ink and the permanent marker ink at the same time.

Do not try to wipe the permanent away with any other type of cleaner or abrasive solution as this will only damage the surface of the whiteboard.
